Science Fitness is absolutely delighted to announce that we will be sponsoring the inaugural Science Fitness Skipton Cycle Races – an exciting and visually stunning Criterium event set right in the heartland of British Cycling which will be taking place on July 2nd 2015.
Not only is this a prestigious and exciting new addition to the British Cycling calendar, it is also happening right on our doorstep in our beautiful hometown of Skipton
Skipton, of course, had the eyes of the cycling world upon it in 2014 when it was one of first Yorkshire towns to host the Tour De France. The crowds did not disappoint, with seemingly all of Yorkshire coming out to see the riders, ensuring it was one of the greatest Grand Departs in recent memory.
It is in that spirit of engagement and enthusiasm that Craven District and Skipton Town Council have announced the races, hoping the buzz generated for the Tour can have a long lasting legacy in our region.
The race will be held in Skipton town centre and feature Category 1 level cyclists and is officially part of the British Cycling calendar. There will also be a Fun Race (sponsored by the wonderful charity The Principle Trust) and a youth race, pitting boys and girls in two age categories against each other in the build up to the big event.
Science Fitness will be there to sample our ground-breaking GlycoSource energy and recovery drink, providing goodie bags for the riders.
The event has been organised by Velo29 Cycling Events.
