This weekend (18th – 20th September 2015) sees the 2015 ITU World Triathlon Grand Final and World Championships take place in Chicago USA. The start lists for the Mens and Womens elite races are made up of 150 of the world’s top Olympic distance triathletes. This will include the likes of British athletes Jonathan Brownlee and Spanish athlete Javier Gomez Noya who is one of the favourites to win. Gomez currently heads the rankings and could become the first athlete to become a 5 time ITU world champion.
The ITU World Championship isn’t the only thing the athletes will be competing for, as Olympic qualification points are also up for grabs and the opportunity to cement their place at the Rio 2016 Olympics. As well as the elite races there will also be top-flight sprint and Olympic-distance races for paratriathletes, juniors and age-group athletes.
Good Luck to Science Fitness ambassador Paul Edmonds who is taking part in the 30-34 wave, hopefully GlycoSource will allow him to perform to his best!
